Purho has in recent years cultivated a team of exceptionally gifted artists, who perform the traditional art of glass blowing in the company's workshop, located on the historical isle of Murano, near Venice in Italy.
Purho turns the spotlight on European craftsmanship and its tradition of master artisans who celebrate the creations of the past while seeking the visions of the future. Its experienced team brilliantly blends technical skills with originality and sophisticated elegance.
The Company's ever growing repertoire of exquisitely crafted compositions is produced using innovative glass-blowing techniques.
During the recent 2018 Milan Design Week, Purho presented its remarkable luminous glass composition "Like Drops from Heaven", consisting of hand-blown Murano glass globes, designed by Karim Rashid and pictured here.
The colourful globes were suspended from the ceiling of the cloister of the church of San Marco, in Milan's Brera district.
